Terms of service
Last updated: 20 October 2026
These Terms of Service apply to consumer purchases from oakverly.co.uk and your use of our online store. Please read them before ordering. You can save or print a copy for future reference.
1. About Oakverly

Our store offers home and garden products. The seller under your purchase contract is Oakverly's business operator identified above.
2. These Terms and your consumer rights
These Terms cover purchases made as a consumer, meaning an individual acting wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. You must have the legal capacity or valid authorisation needed to place an order.
Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Our Return and Refund Policy and Shipping Policy explain additional purchase arrangements. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information. These documents do not override your statutory rights.
3. Product information
Product pages describe the goods, their main characteristics, dimensions where relevant, and what is included. Please check this information and contact us if you need clarification before ordering.
Images illustrate the products. Screen settings can affect colour appearance, and decorative accessories are included only where the description says so. These points do not reduce our obligation to supply goods that match their description and meet your consumer rights.
Any material limitation, special delivery requirement or applicable cancellation exception must be disclosed before purchase.
4. Placing and accepting an order
To order, select your products, review the basket, enter the requested contact and delivery details, choose an available payment method and submit your order using the checkout payment button. You can review and correct details before submitting.
Submitting an order creates an obligation to pay if we accept it. We accept your order when we send an order confirmation email confirming acceptance; a purchase contract is formed at that point. A payment authorisation alone does not constitute acceptance.
Before acceptance, we may decline an order for a genuine reason, such as unavailable stock, failed payment or information we reasonably need to verify the transaction. We will inform you and promptly return any payment taken for an order we do not accept.
If we cannot fulfil an accepted order, we will contact you promptly and explain your options. We will not require you to accept a substitute. Any refund is without prejudice to other remedies you may have by law.
5. Prices, taxes and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include applicable taxes, including VAT where chargeable. Any mandatory charges and delivery costs are disclosed clearly with the pricing information before you place an order. Optional extras require your agreement.
We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Payment is required before dispatch unless we expressly agree otherwise. Your payment provider may apply its own terms or charges, which are separate from charges imposed by Oakverly.
Promotional offers apply according to their disclosed conditions and validity periods. Price changes apply to future purchases and do not alter the agreed price of an accepted order.
6. Pricing errors and order changes
If we identify a material pricing or description error before accepting an order, we will explain the correction and allow you to decide whether to proceed. We will not charge a higher amount without your agreement.
After acceptance, we will not make a material change to your order without your agreement, except where required or permitted by law. Contact us promptly if you need to change an address or another order detail. If dispatch has already occurred, we will explain the available arrangements and any clearly disclosed, reasonable costs that you agree to incur.
7. Delivery and responsibility for goods
We supply orders to eligible addresses in the United Kingdom. Any delivery restrictions are disclosed before ordering. Delivery areas, charges and estimated periods are explained in our Shipping Policy and relevant product or checkout information.
We deliver within the agreed period. If no different period has been agreed, delivery will take place without undue delay and within 30 days of the contract being made.
If delivery is late, contact us. Depending on the circumstances, you may set an additional reasonable delivery deadline or be entitled to cancel immediately, including where an agreed delivery date was essential or we refuse to deliver. Your statutory cancellation and refund rights remain available.
For delivery arranged by us, the goods remain our responsibility until you, or a person you nominate other than the carrier, takes physical possession. Ownership passes once we receive full payment, without affecting your statutory rights.
Please provide accurate delivery information and tell us about relevant access restrictions. For large items, check the stated dimensions and delivery requirements. Assembly or installation is included only if expressly stated in the offer.
If a delivery arrives damaged or an item is missing, contact us as soon as reasonably possible. Photographs may help resolve the issue, but a short reporting deadline does not remove your rights.
8. Cancelling and returning an order
For eligible online purchases, you may cancel without giving a reason until 14 calendar days after the day you receive the goods. Where goods from one order arrive separately, the period runs from receipt of the last item.
Notify us clearly at contact@oakverly.co.uk or our postal address. You then have 14 calendar days after notifying us to send the goods back. You do not need to wait for our approval to exercise your cancellation right.
You may inspect goods as you reasonably would in a shop. Original packaging is helpful but is not a condition of exercising statutory rights. Where permitted by law, a deduction may reflect an actual loss in value caused by handling beyond necessary inspection.
For a change of mind, you pay the direct return cost. For goods that cannot normally be returned by post, the collection cost or a reasonable maximum estimate must be disclosed before purchase. We do not charge a restocking fee.
Some goods, such as clearly personalised goods, rapidly perishable goods and certain unsealed hygiene goods, are subject to statutory cancellation exceptions. Applicable exceptions are explained before purchase and do not remove rights concerning faulty or misdescribed goods.
Full instructions and our returns address appear in the Return and Refund Policy .
9. Refund arrangements
For change-of-mind cancellations where we have not offered collection, we refund without undue delay and within 14 calendar days after receiving the goods back or evidence that you sent them back, whichever is earlier.
If we have offered to collect the goods, or no goods need to be returned, the refund is made without undue delay and within 14 calendar days after your cancellation notice.
For a whole-order cancellation, the refund includes the goods' price and any standard delivery charge, subject to lawful deductions. The additional cost of a premium delivery option need not be refunded for a change of mind. Partial returns include any delivery refund required by law.
Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. We charge no refund fee and do not require you to accept store credit.
10. Faulty, incorrect or misdescribed goods
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their particular purpose where the law requires, and as described. If goods do not meet these requirements, contact us directly.
Where the statutory short-term right to reject applies, it normally lasts 30 days. You may also have rights to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund after that period. These rights are separate from change-of-mind cancellation rights.
We cover reasonable return costs or arrange a prepaid return or collection for goods that are faulty, incorrect or not as described. A statutory refund for rejected faulty goods is made without undue delay and within 14 calendar days of agreeing that you are entitled to it.
Any manufacturer's guarantee is additional to your rights against us. Follow supplied safety and care instructions; damage caused by misuse may fall outside a claim for an original fault.
11. Our responsibility for loss or damage
If we breach the contract or fail to use reasonable care and skill, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that was reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made. This includes loss that was an obvious consequence or that both parties knew could result in the circumstances.
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and obligations concerning your statutory consumer rights and defective products.
If an event outside our reasonable control affects an order, we will notify you and take reasonable steps to reduce its impact. This does not remove your applicable rights to cancel, receive a refund or obtain another legal remedy.
12. Using our website
You must not misuse the store, introduce malicious software, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation or use it for unlawful or fraudulent activity.
Website content, branding and other materials belong to their respective rights holders. Any commercial reproduction requires appropriate permission unless permitted by law. You may save or print these Terms for your records.
We may take proportionate steps to protect the website from misuse. These steps do not extinguish rights arising from an existing purchase.
13. Privacy and Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which processes information about visits, purchases and interactions to provide its services. Where Shopify Network Intelligence and Enhanced Services are enabled, this includes services using information from interactions with our store, other merchants and Shopify.
Information may be shared with Shopify and other providers in other countries to provide these services. Advertising uses requiring consent are subject to your privacy choices. See our Privacy Policy , Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy and the Shopify Privacy Portal for further information and relevant controls.
Agreeing to these Terms does not replace any separate consent required for cookies, tracking or marketing.
14. Questions and complaints
Contact contact@oakverly.co.uk, call +44 7473 985315, or write to Jordan Owen Buxton trading as Oakverly, 27 Kinder Way, Fairfield, Buxton, SK17 7TP, United Kingdom.
Please include your order reference, where available, and explain the issue so we can investigate. Where required, we will provide information about an appropriate alternative dispute resolution provider and whether we are willing or obliged to participate. Your right to take legal action is unaffected.
15. Applicable law and courts
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain the protection of any mandatory consumer laws that apply where you live.
You may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable consumer jurisdiction rules, including the courts of your home UK jurisdiction where those rules permit. These Terms do not require you to give up that protection.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms for future orders and will revise the date above. The version provided when you place your order applies to that purchase. An update does not retrospectively change an existing contract without your agreement, except where required by law.
If a provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue only to the extent permitted by law and the rules on fair consumer contracts.
